

Elaine, Ahumada, DPA
Associate Professor, California Baptist University
Dr. Elaine Ahumada is an Associate Professor of Political Science at California Baptist University
(CBU) in Riverside, California. She has served as Dean of their College of Professional Studies
and prior to CBU was Director of Marketing and Recruitment for the School of Graduate Studies at
Hope international University in Fullerton, California. and Director of Marketing for the Public
Administration Department at the University of La Verne. She holds a doctorate degree in Public
Administration as well as an MPA and Bachelor’s degree with a management emphasis in
Theatre Arts from the University of La Verne. Her dissertation topic addresses the communication
of sexuality in the workplace and how it affects organizational life. With over fifteen years
experience in education as a high school educator and professor at three university institutes,
Elaine’s background is diverse. Elaine’s breadth of teaching encompasses theatre arts to political
science, business communication, and fitness. After working in corporate America in
management with Universal Inc. as well as with various non-profits in fundraising and marketing,
she is founder and Executive Director of her own consulting group “Wholistic Diva”. Enabling her
to utilize her dynamic creativity and networking skills in assisting women in developing their mind,
body, and spirit, Wholistic Diva involves the work and talent of men and women from a variety of
professional arenas. With a black belt in karate, Elaine also teaches a kickboxing, and self-
defense classes.
